The Ultimate Hockey League is bringing a new, urban 3-on-3 hockey format directly to cities with the BREAKING THE ICE TOUR. Fast-paced, intense games with smaller teams and shorter playing times turn into a “sportainment” experience: live music, crowd energy, and urban culture come together right in the middle of the ice. The goal is to reimagine ice hockey, make it more accessible, and establish it as an Olympic discipline in the long term.
The tour’s first stop was Innsbruck in 2026, where an urban hockey arena was set up in front of the Olympiaworld as part of the 50th anniversary of the Winter Olympics. The BREAKING THE ICE TOUR is designed as a recurring event and is set to take place in additional cities in the future.
Scope of Services
Technical design (site plans, CAD)
Planning and implementation of event architecture, infrastructure, and power supply
Coordination of vendors and interfaces
Branding concept, including responsibility for production and installation
Comprehensive event support (on-site production and construction management)
