Die Bike Days in Solothurn waren von 2010 bis 2019 der jährliche Treffpunkt für die Velobranche und über 25’000 Velofans. An der dazumal grössten Velo-Expo der Schweiz präsentierten über 130 Aussteller die ganze Vielfalt der Bike-Welt. Nationale und internationale Profi-Athleten wie Nino Schurter oder Jolanda Neff messten sich im Proffix Swiss Bike Cup. Bei den Freestyle Contests MTB Dirtjump und BMX Flatland zeigten Weltstars wie Nicholi Rogatkin und Matthias Dandois wie’s geht.


In eine ähnliche Richtung, aber mit stärkerem Fokus auf urbane Kultur und Lifestyle, entwickelte sich von 2015 bis 2019 das Urban Bike Festival. Hier drehte sich alles um Velokultur, moderne Mobilität und Lifestyle. Die urbane Velo-Expo zeigte stylische und innovative Lösungen für Alltag und Freizeit. Street-Food-Stände, unplugged Konzerte und Events wie die Drop and Roll Show von Danny MacAskill boten Unterhaltung und Genuss. Sportliche Highlights wie das Urban Cyclocross – ein Radquerrennen durch Volleyballfelder, Wassergräben und über das Viadukt von Zürich West – rundeten das Programm ab.

Aus den Bike Days Solothurn und dem Urban Bike Festival entstand ab 2021 die 

 als gemeinsames Event mit Fokus auf die gesamte Velokultur.

Bike Days in Solothurn were the annual meeting point for the cycling industry and over 25,000 bike fans. At Switzerland’s largest bike expo, more than 130 exhibitors presented the full diversity of the bike world. National and international pro athletes like Nino Schurter and Jolanda Neff competed in the Proffix Swiss Bike Cup. At the MTB Dirtjump and BMX Flatland freestyle contests, world stars like Nicholi Rogatkin and Matthias Dandois showed how it’s done.


The Urban Bike Festival developed along similar lines between 2015 and 2019, but with a stronger focus on urban culture and lifestyle. Here, everything revolved around cycling culture, modern mobility and lifestyle. The urban bike expo showcases stylish and innovative solutions for everyday life and leisure. Street food stands, unplugged concerts, and events like Danny MacAskill’s Drop and Roll Show offer entertainment. Sporting highlights such as Urban Cyclocross – a race through volleyball fields, water pits, and over the Zurich West viaduct – round off the program.

From 2021, the Bike Days Solothurn and the Urban Bike Festival merged to form 

, a joint event focusing on cycling culture as a whole.
